Operational Management for Start-Up Health Clinic

Updated: May 11, 2020

Our client built and opened a peri-urban health clinic and youth development center in East Africa. While services had started, a clear strategic plan for meeting the needs of the community had not yet been developed.

We worked with the organization to develop the five-year strategic plan and business objectives, policies and procedures that align with Ministry of Health requirements, and finance and administrative manuals. With our support, our client maximized operational efficiencies and programming for the health clinic and youth center, ensuring that high-quality services and activities aligned with their mission, core values, and strategic plan.

We assisted the organization in implementing human resource strategies to attract, retain, and motivate dedicated, high performing staff. This included recruiting and hiring qualified staff and volunteers, managing new staff orientations, developing continuing education strategies, and maintaining staff records.
